Finally, I’d like to invite you to learn more about the Institute’s Beacon Award during a special session taking place at the League of California Cities Annual Conference in San Francisco. The Beacon Award recognizes California cities and counties working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, save energy and promote sustainability.

The session takes place Friday, September 23rd, 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and will offer an opportunity for participating agencies and other local officials to share ideas about sustainability efforts and learn what other participants are doing as part of their Beacon Award program activities.
