Fresno and Los Angeles are the California cities working with federal agencies (Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) to combat immigration services scams through enforcement, education and continued collaboration. Efforts include increasing the number of legitimate immigration legal service provider organizations and accredited representatives, particularly in underserved areas.
