Leadership Los Gatos
A joint effort between the Town of Los Gatos and the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Los Gatos (LLG) is a 10-session program for people of all backgrounds and interests who wish to become more involved in the community. Its mission is to engage, educate and develop service-oriented individuals who live and/or work in Los Gatos for leadership roles in community and neighborhood organizations, schools, places of worship and town government.
Leadership Los Gatos discussion topics include, but are not limited to, “Leadership Development,” “The Role of Town Government in the Community,” “Land Use and Economic Vitality” and “Local Infrastructure and Resident-Serving Utilities.” Participants also take part in Town Council meetings, a Los Gatos police ride-along, and a community unity volunteer project.
According to Julie Dinapoli, a 2008/2009 LLG graduate, “Leadership Los Gatos is an outstanding program for anyone interested in wanting to learn more about our community. It offers a unique birds-eye view into its inner workings along with various speakers who dealt with topics of relevance to various aspects of leadership. This is a fun program!”
