The City of McFarland is a small, rural community located in the San Joaquin Valley that grapples with drought, extreme heat, and pollution. BOOST Activities:

• Support the City of McFarland in identifying funding opportunities and provide grant writing support with a specific focus on transportation infrastructure, active transportation projects/programs and transportation electrification
• Provide trainings, technical assistance and grant support to assist in developing its Environmental Justice Element, Safety Elements, Housing Element Update and/or Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Integration
• Support implementation of activities and projects identified in the McFarland Transformational Study
• Support planning, housing and economic development activities associated with the city’s annexation efforts
• Provide training opportunities and consultation to build knowledge and capacity for project management, gran implementation and grant reporting
