Eddie “EJ” Crandell

Eddie “E.J.” Crandell currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Lake County Board of Supervisors, a position he has held since 2019. In his role, he participates on numerous committees, including the Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) Board and the Farm, Ranch, and Rural Communities Federal Advisory Committee (FRRCC) for the EPA. Before his tenure as a County Supervisor, Crandell served as a planning commissioner from 2016 to 2018.

Simultaneously, Supervisor Crandell serves as the Vice Chairman for the Robinson Rancheria of Pomo Indians. He previously served as the Chairman of the Tribe from 2015 to 2020. During his tenure as Chairman, he oversaw various boards under the tribe’s jurisdiction, including the California Tribal TANF Partnership, where the Robinson Rancheria tribe acts as the lead grantee for an organization that encompasses 17 counties and has Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with 20 tribes.

Supervisor Crandell is a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Sergeant with the 101st Aviation Division. He obtains an Associates Degree in Business Administration along with numerous leadership trainings, including a County Supervisor Credential from CSAC’s Bill “William” Chiat Instute for Excellence In County Government Supervisors Leadership Course and another from NACO’s High Performance Leadership Course with the Professional Development Academy.
