Jaime Lemus
Director of Transportation and Climate Change Division at Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District
Jaime Lemus is a descendent of the Purepecha Indigenous people of Michoacan, Mexico. Jaime started his career at the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District in 2001, and since, has gained a wide breadth of experience working in multiple divisions in various capacities.
Mr. Lemus was appointed Division Manager of the Transportation and Climate Change Division in September 2019, and now leads the Sac Metro Air District in advancing innovative transportation and land use strategies in the region to mitigate climate impact and improve regional air quality. In 1998, Jaime attended U.C. Davis where he conducted research on air pollution and environmental degradation.
