Join ILG and Artificial Intelligence (AI) expert John Robichaux for a timely discussion on the opportunities and challenges facing local governments because of the advancement and increased accessibility of AI technologies. This crucial conversation will provide an overview of the basics, while also illustrating how local governments in California may be able responsibly explore AI tools to help enhance efficiency, improve services, and address critical challenges faced by their communities.
Speakers
John Robichaux is an award-winning executive, educator, and consultant, who, for more than 25 years, has advised leaders in government, industry, and civil society. John has held leadership positions at Harvard, Stanford, and Columbia Universities, where his portfolios included training policymakers and government leaders around critical issues facing them.
For the last 15 years, this has included topics around Artificial Intelligence. Most recently, John helped Stanford University launch its flagship research and policy institute on AI, the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI), where John led programs training local and national policymakers from more than 40 countries. Starting July 2023, John will assume the Executive Director role at UC Berkeley’s Coleman Fung Institute for Engineering Leadership, where he will continue his work in support of global leaders seeking to address the world’s toughest challenges.
