Jonathan is the Deputy City Manager for the City of Santa Paula. Applying a very diverse background of education and experience in operations, process improvement, human resources, risk management, financial analysis and talent development, Working on projects, policies and programs at the pleasure of the City Manager to enhance the community and the residents they serve.
Jonathan works directly with elected officials, executive
management and staff to advise, create and implement policy and
programs. Author and present reports and presentations to boards,
commissions, executive management and City Council.
He completes legislative analysis in partnership with the League
of California Cities and the Southern California Association of
Governments (SCAG) to advocate and lobby for or against policies
consistent with the City’s adopted Legislative Platform as well
as pursue and submit federal earmark and appropriations requests
on behalf of the City to state lawmakers.
He works directly with the Chamber of Commerce to support local
businesses, conduct business roundtables, advise and represent
the City in the Property Business Improvement District (PBID) and
implement methods and develop relationships to drive economic
activity and tourism within Santa Paula.
Jonathan also serves on several non-profit and civic organization boards including the Municipal Management of Association of Southern California (MMASC), Santa Paula Together, and the Heritage Valley Tourism Bureau.
