The Santa Monica City Council has approved a design to implement a variety of “green” improvements along a nine-block stretch of Ocean Park Boulevard.

Among the primary features of the green street design are sidewalk curb extensions, landscaped center medians, new crosswalks, six-foot-wide bicycle lanes, new trees and pedestrian lighting and relocated Big Blue Bus stops on the Fourth Street overpass.
