Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments
The Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments (AMBAG) is the council of governments and transportation planning agency for Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties. AMBAG manages the region’s transportation demand model and prepares regional housing, population and employment forecast that are utilized in a variety of regional plans.
AMBAG’s mission is to provides strategic leadership and services to analyze, plan and implement regional policies for the benefit of the Counties and Cities of Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz, balancing local control with regional collaboration.
AMBAG has been a leader in promoting and supporting energy efficiency and sustainability activities among its member agencies.
